Eden’s Bride

EDEN’S BRIDE

A Romantasy (Sumerian Chronicles I)

Can a mystic queen and a lion hunter prevent war? The fate of an entire kingdom rests on their love.

From a forgotten world of myth and legend comes a story of magic and destiny.

Prophecy

Queen Uruna Kumta, the last prophet of Serpenthood, rules over the Lukur priestesshood. Her duty is to uphold rule by women through prophecy. But her heart longs for more than just a consort, until a renegade hunter named Anu saves her from a rogue lion. Their love ignites, but Anu disappears.

Rebellion

Uruna’s pursuit of The Sight has enraged Enguda, the self-ordained Bull Priest of a rival temple. He seeks to re-arm mankind and restore masculine rule, with himself as king. Uruna becomes the target of his hatred towards women.

Invasion

As a Kurg horde threatens to repeat the bloodshed of two centuries ago, public pressure grows for a return to arms. The Lukur succumb to Enguda’s demands for war. Meanwhile, Anu, now a hunted man, returns to pledge his love to Uruna and join her in the Sleep of Serpents, a ritual with a deadly cobra that no man has survived.

But as Uruna approaches the Abyss of the Unknown, she cannot foresee the fate that awaits her, a curse more devastating than any torture she can imagine.
