About The Author

Dan Phalen creates stories about empowered women in Sumerian history. Married to a strong woman, he decided to investigate feminist cultures from the distant past, particularly shifts between matricentric and patriarchal cultures. His Sumerian Chronicles trilogy resulted.

After a successful career in Information Technology, he turned to full-time writing. He sometimes swaps a computer keyboard for a synthesizer to compose contemporary jazz.

Dan lives in the heart of California “Gold Country” where history lurks around every corner and sometimes under the local shopping center. Mark Twain slept here. Really.
